Pack Your Bags For The Fly Away Bash! Join The Event Group and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank for a fabulous night of dinner, drinks, dancing and an unforgettable giveaway – all while giving back to the community! On Friday, September 8th the annual Fly Away Bash will be held at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s headquarters and the celebration will mark The Event Group’s 30th anniversary. Guests are encouraged to pack a suitcase for a chance to win one of three getaways that will depart at the end of the evening! All proceeds from the celebration will support the Food Bank’s Backpack Program which addresses food insecurity in Pittsburgh by providing healthy food and snacks to children who may otherwise not have enough to eat over the weekend. A female radio news anchor said that Minnesota Democratic Sen. Al Franken had photographed himself groping her while sleeping and "forcibly kissed" her without consent during an overseas USO tour in 2006, two years before his election to the Senate. The revelations have prompted Franken to apologize which was accepted, however has also ignited calls for a Senate ethics investigation. The revelations come amid a growing national furor over sexual harassment and misconduct, for which Capitol Hill members appear not to be immune.
