Sky Zone Leetsdale Ultimate Dodgeball Qualifier
Sky Zone Leetsdale invites dodgeball enthusiasts to attend the local qualifier for the Second Annual Ultimate Dodgeball Championship. Teams of 5-8 will compete on the local level for a chance to travel to Las Vegas for the championship tournament where the eight best teams in the world will duke it out for the title and a grand prize of $20,000. The Leetsdale qualifier will be held on August 1, 2013 at 6 pm. Sky Zone Leetsdale is located at 740 Bricksworks Drive, Leetsdale, PA 15056. A Joint resolution proposed to amend the Pennsylvania constitution by giving the General Assembly authority to define who is or is not an "Institution of Purely Public Charity," has drawn criticism from the Peduto administration. Senate bill-4 would transfer power from local officials to the Pennsylvania General Assembly in determining what criteria must be satisfied to qualify for real estate tax exemption. Kevin Acklin, Chief of Staff to Mayor Peduto, says the bill disrupts the "status quo" and eliminates the city's ability to negotiate with its nonprofits in exchange for services.
