The Harlem Quartet: Take the 'A' Train
The Harlem Quartet, a string quartet, will perform music by Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Billy Strayhorn, Guido Gavilan, and Walter Piston. Join us at 6:30pm for a pre-concert mixer! The Harlem Quartet's mission is to advance diversity in classical music, engaging young and new audiences through the discovery and presentation of varied repertoire that includes works by minority composers.
Pope Francis is "immensely popular" among American Catholics, one year after his election. According to a Pew Research Center Poll, among Catholics, 68 percent thought he represented "a major change for the better." The poll also found that the pope's popularity did not translate into greater lay participation in the church.
