The Harlem Quartet: Take the 'A' Train
The Harlem Quartet, a string quartet, will perform music by Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Billy Strayhorn, Guido Gavilan, and Walter Piston. Join us at 6:30pm for a pre-concert mixer! The Harlem Quartet's mission is to advance diversity in classical music, engaging young and new audiences through the discovery and presentation of varied repertoire that includes works by minority composers.
O.J. Simpson, the Hall-of-Fame football player famously acquitted in his wife's murder before heading to prison for a Las Vegas hotel robbery in 2007, is scheduled for a parole hearing on July 20th. Found guilty of 12 charges including armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping he was given a sentence of 9 to 33 years. However reports of his good behavior in prison along with being 69 years old make Simpson's parole a good possibility. Should O.J. Simpson be granted parole?
