The Harlem Quartet: Take the 'A' Train
The Harlem Quartet, a string quartet, will perform music by Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Billy Strayhorn, Guido Gavilan, and Walter Piston. Join us at 6:30pm for a pre-concert mixer! The Harlem Quartet's mission is to advance diversity in classical music, engaging young and new audiences through the discovery and presentation of varied repertoire that includes works by minority composers.
The Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case challenging an Ohio law that makes it a crime to lie during an election. This law forbids candidates, issue groups or anyone else from knowingly or recklessly making false statements about someone on the ballot - whether the untruths are intended to help elect or defeat the candidate. Opponents claim enforcement of this law infringes on one’s First Amendment Rights of Freedom of Speech.
