The Harlem Quartet: Take the 'A' Train
The Harlem Quartet, a string quartet, will perform music by Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Billy Strayhorn, Guido Gavilan, and Walter Piston. Join us at 6:30pm for a pre-concert mixer! The Harlem Quartet's mission is to advance diversity in classical music, engaging young and new audiences through the discovery and presentation of varied repertoire that includes works by minority composers.
Donald Trump made his most direct appeal to African Americans last Friday, asking "What do you have to lose?" Claiming longstanding Democratic Party policies have destroyed inner cities and sent manufacturing jobs to other countries. Trump asserted "You're living in poverty. Your schools are no good. You have no jobs. Fifty-eight percent of your youth is unemployed…so why not try something new - like Trump?"
