Chuck Jones, president of the United Steelworkers Local 1999, in an interview says he believes Donald Trump lied to the Carrier workers when taking credit for preserving 1,100 production jobs, claiming another 550 will still lose theirs and the company collects millions in tax breaks. Trump responded tweeting "Jones has done a terrible job representing workers…needs more time working, less time talking". Jones claims within a half hour of the Trump tweets he was getting threatening calls and messages.
