A free home buying workshop will be held at 744 Rebecca Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA at 6:00 pm sponsored by Pittsburgh Housing Development Association, Inc., Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation, and Dollar Bank. We'll show you how you can own your own home including information about: - Credit counseling and restoration programs - Grant money for closing costs - Affordable mortgages and down payment options - Programs to help public housing residents, section 8 tenants and renters - Your free credit report including a credit evaluation
Pittsburgh City Councilman Corey O'Connor proposes giving small businesses that raise their minimum wage for full-time employees to 10-dollars-and-10 cents, free promotional space on city owned assets including bus shelters, trash cans and senior centers. He says the program wouldn't cost the city any money.
