Spring Book Sale

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Friends of the Carrick Library will hold a book sale at the library located at 1811 Brownsville Road from 10 AM-6:30 PM. Adult, Teen & Children's materials will be priced to sell. Proceeds benefit the library. Call 412-882-3897.
Gov. Tom Wolf proposed more than $4 billion in taxes on income, sales and natural gas drilling to support new spending on schools and to cut property taxes as part of an effort to overhaul the way public education is funded. Included in his proposal is a flat tax increase on income from 3.07 percent to 3.7 percent.
