American Diabetes Association EXPO/Pittsburgh
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The American Diabetes Association EXPO will take place on Saturday November 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The event will be hosted by the American Diabetes Association whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. Attendees will have the chance to view health screenings, cooking demonstrations, and product exhibitors. Additionally, numerous leading experts will speak about the methods of dealing with the harmful consequences of diabetes. Come and receive the latest information on preventing and managing diabetes to help keep you and your family healthy.

As participants in this fun program, kids ages 8-9 can learn how to make healthy exercise and food choices, and create their own jump ropes from recycled materials as they celebrate fitness at Phipps.

The American Civil Liberties Union is angry with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe after they say he blamed the organization for the violence in Charlottesville last Saturday. The Governor contends the City wanted to move the demonstration out of downtown to an open field park but the ACLU threatened a lawsuit. ACLU places responsibility on passive law enforcement unable to ensure the safety of both protesters and counter-protesters, seeming to be waiting for violence to take place so they could declare an unlawful assembly and clear the area.
