American Diabetes Association EXPO/Pittsburgh
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The American Diabetes Association EXPO will take place on Saturday November 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The event will be hosted by the American Diabetes Association whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. Attendees will have the chance to view health screenings, cooking demonstrations, and product exhibitors. Additionally, numerous leading experts will speak about the methods of dealing with the harmful consequences of diabetes. Come and receive the latest information on preventing and managing diabetes to help keep you and your family healthy.

As participants in this fun program, kids ages 8-9 can learn how to make healthy exercise and food choices, and create their own jump ropes from recycled materials as they celebrate fitness at Phipps.

According to results of a national poll by the Robert Morris University Polling Institute and Trib Total Media, nearly half of Americans support a ban on youth playing contact football prior to entering high school. In addition to encouraging children to ban football prior to high school and middle school, nearly 47-percent of respondents would be very or somewhat likely to encourage their own child or another child to avoid playing contact football altogether.
