The Allegheny County Labor Council which organizes Pittsburgh's annual Labor Day parade did not extend an invitation to Governor Tom Corbett to participate in the event. Two other locals did invite the governor. Labor Council President Jack Shea disinvited Corbett saying you can't work against organized labor all year then expect to march with them on Labor Day. The council did invite Corbett's challenger Tom Wolf to march in the parade.
